Vasquez: Появился транскрипт кое-каких кусков (Спасибо Enisy): http://www.darkhorse.com/Help/Boards/viewtopic.php?t=12374&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=4200 How would you compare Russell T Davies to Joss Whedon? James Marsters: Russell does not seem to be at war with the world. Joss is at war with the world, and that makes for great jokes and great scripts, but it can also make for some headaches. Russell just seems to be happy, which makes for a less angst-ridden set, frankly. In your heart of hearts, do you think you've played Spike for the last time, and does that bother you? James Marsters: Life is long, you know. I'd like to think that I haven't played him for the last time, but at the same time, I think that Joss has moved on. We talked about doing a movie, a TV movie or some kind of treatment together. I kind of realised he'd moved on when I asked him, "Well, what do you want to do?" and he said, "I have no idea, but I have a line from a Lord of the Rings film." I thought, "Oh my God, if that's all you have then maybe it's not the time to do this." Do you think Joss regretted creating Spike? James Marsters: In some ways I think he was glad I came onto Buffy, but in other ways, I think he wished that I hadn't. Because in Joss's universe vampires are not supposed to be sexy. They're supposed to be grotesque. He already had a vampire that was sexy. Angel was not his idea. That was David Greenwalt. So he was already dealing with one sexy vampire and I think that he could stomach Angel because Angel was repentant. He was trying to be good. Suddenly he had this other sexy vampire who didn't want to be good at all. But the audience responded to him positively. I endangered the theme. Joss once said that doing Buffy helped him grow in that he realised even the villains have a story. But I think he'd have preferred to have made that journey his way. Are you following what's happening to Spike in the comics? James Marsters: No. I'm worried about that. It was scary enough to go through the series not knowing what they were going to do with me. So I'm afraid for Spike what Joss is going to do to him in these comic books. And it's hard for me to have no control over that. I mean, I didn't really have control over him in Buffy, but at least in my performance I could mitigate certain things. But Joss just has the reins now, and he wants to hurt me. I just know he does.

So I'm afraid for Spike what Joss is going to do to him in these comic books. But Joss just has the reins now, and he wants to hurt me. I just know he does.
