5.15 A Hole in the World (Joss Whedon's episode!). Geroneja. (01/08/04 11:06:13)

lola: Geroneja(01/08/04 11:06:13) 5.15 A Hole in the World (Joss Whedon's episode!) Пишет и снимает, по слухам, лично Джосс ) As for episode 15, just more confirmation that Joss will be both writing and directing the episode. It’s possible that more info may break next week, but it’s going to be hard to tell (I have a feeling Joss is going to work hard on blocking info on this episode) Which may tie in with some info posted by SpoilerFix.com yesterday. They are reporting that one of the characters in the episode will be named Scott. He will be young, 17-19 years old, and appears in a club-scene with a bouncer and other young adults. This has led to ’speculation’ (and I stress speculation), that Scott could be Connor. To be honest, I have absolutely no information that would indicate that Connor would be returning in this episode. I don’t doubt the report itself that a character that fits this description will be in the episode, but it’s still to early to know anything for certain. --------- "Killing people is my job!" lola: Strenger(01/28/04 05:11:18)

Figueroa Plaza is pleased to announce that Twentieth Century Fox will conduct location filming of a scene from the television series, “Angel”, at Figueroa Plaza on Friday, January 30, 2004. Set-up associated with the production will commence at approximately 3:00 p.m. that day, however, actual filming will not begin until approximately 5:00 p.m., with the majority of the project occurring after standard building hours. Filming is expected to be complete by approximately 12:00 midnight. The scope of the production includes a stuntman traveling down the East side of the 201 Tower via a cable from the roof to the plaza level. This will likely occur after-hours, however, we encourage you to inform all of your employees of this event in order that all are aware of the filming activity. In addition, several scenes will be filmed in which actors enter and exit the main lobby entrance near the Security Console on the Figueroa Street side of the property.

lola: VasquezE(02/21/04 14:59:46) Джосс Ведон написал письмо на сайте The WB, его перепечатали на ASSB Joss Whedon's letter retyped here! -- BW, 15:19:30 02/21/04 Sat (as12-syx-ny-206-214-26-178.rasserver.net/206.214.26.17 My precious little interweb fanlings... once again you are privileged to witness the delightful spectacle of my total mastery of -- ecgghgk! Sorry. Something in my throat. Anyhoo, this is Joss. I made an episode, "A Hole In The World". Why this, why now? Well, a lot of it has to do with Fred. And with Our Ms. Acker, who portrays her. I thought of a story that would really let her shine, let people see beyond the cute, run-on sentency Texan we all know and love. And you know what love means kids: PAIN! Yes, I wanted some quality pain for my cast and as I focused on Fred and her position on the team I realized that she is at the center of it in a way. She is, simply, the only thing EVERYONE agrees on. Even Spike. And so Fred in pain, Fred in peril, brings out the best (and worst) in every single character and gives me a chance to do what I always set out to do when I make an episode: remember why I love all these characters. Which means I (and you, unless you don't watch) get to see sides of the characters, ALL the characters, that I haven't explored before. Wes, Gunn, Spike, Lorne, Eve and Angel himself all showed me colors I didn't even know they were carrying. And Fred... let's just say I'm proud to be working with these actors. It's not pretty, being the guy who followed the puppet episode. But I'm excited about this piece. It came from the part of my brain we generally label "the Heart". -Joss Whedon-

lola: VasquezE(02/25/04 09:55:02) Cпайкфид Дори Message 214917 of 214924 | Previous | Next [ Up Thread ] Message Index Msg # From: Dori <ms_dori@e...> Date: Thu Feb 26, 2004 12:39 am Subject: SPIKEFEED SPOILERS: Hole in the World, SHORT ADVERTISEMENT First, I love Fred's parents. <VBG> Especially her dad. The whole Angel/Spike dynamic is just a hoot. THey start out with Angel complaining because Spike ran a sword through him to kill one of the bugs Fred and Wes and the rest were fighting. Spike says, "I saved you from being bug food, so stop whinging." Then there's the big shouting match in Angel's office. Lots of passion, lots of getting right up in each other's face, until Wesley interrupts them. Angel looks a little embarrassed when Spike tells Wes that they were arguing about whether cavemen or astronauts would win a fight. When Angel tells Spike to leave, Spike says, "What, you mean you want us to annoy other people?" And when Angel tells Spike he can go wherever he wants, Spike perks up. "=Anywhere=?" he says, with a significant look at Angel. He's obviously thinking of Buffy, but he doesn't mention her name. Neither does Angel, who looks right into his eyes and says, "Anywhere." "Anywhere but here," Spike says as the scene changes. All the guys are discussing how to help Fred. Angel tells them what the doctor says--that Fred's organs are cooking, and will liquefy within a day. Spike's face hardens. "Not this girl," he says, eyes narrowed and jaw set. "Not this day." Finally, there's a mention of Cordelia! Angel and Spike are on the jet, and Angel says, "I can't lose her." "You won't." Spike is grimly determined. Angel looks out the window. "I lost Cordy," he says, and it's obvious that it hurts. Spike can't say anything to that, so he doesn't. In the Cotswolds, Angel and Spike are looking for the doorway to the Deeper Well. Angel spots it. "Right there," he says, "That's our doorway to the Deeper Well." "Or Christmasland," Spike says. Angel gives him a LOOK, and Spike rolls his eyes. "Don't you ever have ANY fun?" he says. At that moment, two demons come barrelling out the doorway (which looks like a hollow tree). "Stragegy?" Spike asks Angel. "Just hold my hand." Spike gives him the fisheye, but does it. As soon as he clasps Angel's hand, he grins. "St. Petersburg," he says. "Thought you'd forgotten," Angel says, and as he drops Spike's hand, a very thin wire uncoils, and they pull it taut, decapitating the two demons. THey take up the demons' weapons and fight the bunch that comes streaming out of the doorway. Once they defeat the demons, the guardian comes out. Spike starts to ask questions, but the man tells him that he'll kill him if he asks anything. Inside the Well, the guardian, whom Angel knows, the guys find out about Illyria's sarcophagus going missing. Spike makes several comments which are phrased as questions, but every time the guardian looks around, Spike says, "That was a statement!" FInally they get to the bridge across the Well, which goes clear through the earth. The guardian is giving out bits of information at a time, and Spike has had enough. He asks what the heck is going on. The guardian turns, his eyes blazing, and Spike steps forward. "What's your favorite color?" he asks, his tone daring the guardian to interrupt. "What's your favorite song? Who's the right wing for Manchester United?" By now, he's right up in the guardian's face. "If you're gonna kill me, try it. I don't have time for your stupid quirks." And the Guardian backs down. The Guardian explains that there's a way to cure Fred, but it requires a Champion. "You've got two of them right here," Angel says, with absolutely no hesitation. The Guardian tells them that saving Fred will mean thousands of people dying; he goes away to prepare the spell, but leaves the decision up to Angel and Spike. They're both horrified at the thought. But finally, Angel says, "Screw the world." But of course, he's too late. Fred dies in Wes' arms, and Illyria rises. She looks at the new body. "This will do," she says. And credits roll. -- Dori

lola: VasquezE(02/25/04 11:10:38) Херк http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=17076 Wednesday, February 25, 2004 Hercules Gives Tonight’s ANGEL Five Stars!!!!! I am – Hercules!! Angel 5.15 FAQ What’s it called? “A Hole in the World.” Who’s responsible? Teleplay is credited to series creator Buffiverse mastermind Joss Whedon (“Conviction”). What did Coax say about this one last year? “[Whedon] revealed he would indeed soon be writing and directing an episode of ‘Angel’ dealing with a ‘setback’ for Fred.” Huh. What does TV Guide say? “Angel must choose between saving one friend's life and the lives of thousands when Fred falls desperately ill after examining a mysterious sarcophagus that arrives in the lab. Angel and Spike's investigation leads them to the hiding Eve, who sheds some light on the dire situation in hopes of keeping her location concealed from the Senior Partners; and Gunn has a surprising encounter in the White Room.” The big news? This installment represents Whedon’s best Buffiverse work since “Once More With Feeling.” What else is TV Guide not telling us? The episode begins with a flashback. And more than one major Buffiverse character may die this week. Who? Who? Angel survives the episode. So does Eve. And Harmony. Is Charles’ deal with Upgrade Guy, as widely rumored, responsible for Fred’s malady? It is!! What is Eve’s hiding place? Does she hunker behind a bus-station urinal? You’re not far off! She’s literally gone to the mattresses, half-naked in a dingy little room covered with those symbols Lindsey was wearing. Gunn has a surprising encounter in the White Room? With whom? How surprising? Willow’s in there, isn’t she?? It’s not Willow, it’s not the cat, and it’s not the little girl. (Fans of “The Prisoner” and “The Empire Stikes Back” will know what to expect.) How is it Angel must choose between the young Winifred and thousands? Which thousands? Why are they so great? Because they live between Los Angeles and England. “If we bring the sarcophagus back to the well, it will draw Illyria out of your friend and into every single person between here and there,” explains the demon-keeper Drogyn, who is handy with the exposition. “It will become the mystical equivalent of airborne. It will claw into every soul in its path to keep from being trapped entire. Tens, maybe hundreds of thousands, will die in agony... if you save her.” Does Fred’s trouble unleash “Dark Wesley”? Man. You don’t know the half of it. Angel and Spike’s investigation? Are they now a crimefighting team? Man. You don’t know that half of it either. Any sign of Lindsey? Or “Sean”? He is referenced. As, of course, is poor Cordelia, for the first time I believe since her passing. What’s great? It’s “Family” meets “The Body.” Fred’s peril transforms every one of her teammates – Angel, Spike, Wes, Charles and even Krevlornswath (man, if the Deathwok Clan could see him now!) – into the most badass superheroes you’d ever want or need. If Cordelia’s recent passing left the mighty Herc choked up, this installment had me watery-eyed pretty much all the way through, and absolutely bawling during the episode’s bitter denouement. It’s particularly and surprisingly gratifying to see Angel and Spike’s mutual animosity evaporate the moment they learn of Fred’s predicament. And it’s exhilarating to see Angel and Spike revisiting strategies they obviously honed under very different circumstances a long time ago. Oh, and it’s worth tuning in just to hear Whedon’s pithy asides spitting out of James Marsters’ mouth again. What’s not so great? Angel and Spike jet to England but don’t run into Rupert, Andrew, or anyone else we’d recognize. How does it end, spoiler-boy? “Why can’t I stay? Please. Please.” “This will do,” says the vaguely Dark Willow-looking girl. Herc’s rating for “Angel” 5.15? ***** Пять звезд - это здорово, хотя может быть и его реакцией на упреки за слишком низкую оценку предыдущего эпизода (три звезды
